Formula Overview
A light, gentle exterior-releasing formula for the early stage of Wind-Heat invading the Lung where cough is the predominant symptom, with only mild fever and thirst.
Therapeutic Principle
Traditionally selected when cough is the leading complaint and systemic heat remains mild, at the earliest stage of Wind-Heat — a lighter, more dispersing choice than Yin Qiao San, which suits more pronounced fever and sore throat, and far gentler than Ma Xing Shi Gan Tang's deeper Lung Heat with wheezing.
