Wang Qingren formula specifically for Blood stasis in the lower abdomen caused by Cold, presenting with lower abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea with clots, and cold sensations.

Therapeutic Principle

Traditionally selected for cold-type Blood stasis in the lower abdomen, with menstrual pain relieved by warmth and dark clotted flow — more warming and more localised than Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang or Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang, and stronger than the gentler classical action of Wen Jing Tang.

Clinical Perspective

Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang is for cold-type lower abdominal Blood stasis. Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang is for middle/upper abdominal stasis. Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang for chest. Wen Jing Tang is a milder classical formula for similar gynecological cold-stasis patterns.
