Formula Overview

Powerful Qi and Blood tonic formed by combining Si Jun Zi Tang + Si Wu Tang + Huang Qi + Rou Gui. Used for severe dual deficiency of Qi and Blood with cold signs, chronic illness or recovery.

Therapeutic Principle

Traditionally selected when Qi and Blood are both markedly depleted with an added Yang-deficient cold tendency, adding Huang Qi and Rou Gui to the Ba Zhen Tang base — a warmer, stronger tonic than its components Si Jun Zi Tang and Si Wu Tang used alone.

Clinical Perspective

Shi Quan Da Bu Tang is the strongest classical Qi-Blood tonic with warming. Ba Zhen Tang is the base without Huang Qi and Rou Gui. Si Jun Zi Tang and Si Wu Tang are the pure Qi and Blood components. Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang focuses more on raising Yang Qi.
