Formula Overview

A powerful formula for Liver Yang rising transforming into internal Wind, often with underlying Liver-Kidney Yin deficiency. Used for severe dizziness, headache, tinnitus, and progressive motor dysfunction or stroke-like presentations.

Therapeutic Principle

Traditionally selected when rising Liver Yang and internal Wind are severe and rooted in marked Yin deficiency, requiring heavy anchoring minerals — a considerably stronger settling strategy than Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin, which suits milder hypertension-type headache and insomnia where heat signs outweigh Yin depletion.
