TCM Self-Assessment
What Is a TCM Self-Assessment?
A TCM Self-Assessment is a short, structured questionnaire based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theory that helps identify which of the nine classical body constitutions best describes you — such as Balanced, Qi Deficiency, Yang Deficiency, Yin Deficiency, Phlegm-Dampness, Damp-Heat, Blood Stasis, Qi Stagnation, or Special/Allergic Constitution. Rather than diagnosing a specific illness, a TCM Self-Assessment offers a starting point for understanding your body's underlying patterns and tendencies.

How the TCM Self-Assessment Works
The TCM Self-Assessment asks about common signs and symptoms — energy levels, digestion, sleep, temperature sensitivity, skin condition, and emotional tendencies — that Traditional Chinese Medicine associates with each constitution type. Based on your answers, the TCM Self-Assessment points you toward the constitution pattern most relevant to you, along with formulas traditionally used to support that pattern.
What You'll Learn
Your primary and secondary constitution tendencies, common signs associated with each pattern, and which HJMEDICAL collections may offer relevant traditional support.

Why Take a TCM Self-Assessment
Many people don't know their TCM constitution type, which makes it harder to choose formulas suited to their body's tendencies. A TCM Self-Assessment offers a simple, informative starting point before exploring HJMEDICAL's constitution-based collections. As always, a TCM Self-Assessment is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed TCM practitioner.
