From Qian Yi's Xiao Er Yao Zheng Zhi Jue (Key to Diagnosis and Treatment of Children's Diseases, Song dynasty), Dao Chi San is the classical formula for heat in the heart channel, guiding the heat out through the urine.
Classical Formula Composition

Sheng Di Huang (Radix Rehmanniae) 6 g — cools the blood and nourishes the yin

Dan Zhu Ye (Herba Lophatheri) 6 g — clears the heart fire and promotes urination

Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) 6 g — harmonizes the formula and relieves urinary discomfort
