From Zhang Zhongjing's Shang Han Lun, Gui Zhi Qu Shao Yao Tang is a classical formula for disharmony of the exterior with deficiency of heart yang.

Classical Formula Composition

• Gui Zhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi), Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens), Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Da Zao (Fructus Jujubae) — warm the yang and release the exterior
